
‘Corporate ladder’ is business jargon that describes the process of gaining promotion and
moving to higher ranks within a company.
The term was originally coined in past decades when people would often work within the
same company for the entirety of their career. As they progressed from entry-level positions to junior and senior managerial roles, this would be seen as ‘climbing the ladder’.
